This is the "POWER Series" Tube Screamer Classic, released around 1985.This pedal has skyrocketed in popularity thanks to its use by artists ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan in the past to John Mayer in recent years. While the op-amps used in this model include the MC4558, the glossy JRC4558D, or the matte JRC4558D, this particular unit is made in Taiwan and features the MC4558.Units equipped with the "glossy JRC4558D" were limited to the early production run through around 1987. From that period onward, a Taiwanese production line was added, resulting in Taiwan-made units being produced in parallel with the Japanese-made ones. Units with this specification have a sound that is somewhat similar to the matte JRC4558D. Some guitarists feel that the slightly subdued low end and the lack of excessive brightness make it easier to bring out subtle nuances.
